Hi friends, family, former students, mentors, and neighbors!
I'm fundraising for CAAAV, a grassroots organization founded in 1986 by Asian working class women in response to the hate violence on Asian communities and its root causes stemming from institutional racism in the United States. CAAAV's values, vision, and politics are rooted in the idea of keeping directly impacted communities in the forefront.
I started volunteering at CAAAV in 2015 shortly after I moved to New York. Fast forward a few years, I'm close to my one-year anniversary as a community organizer at CAAAV, working with the Chinatown Tenants Union. This organization's values, hard work, and people have been a personal and political home for me in NYC and I'm very proud to be a part of work that creates material change for Asian working class communities.
If you share similar values and want to support low-income Asian communities to organize and develop their leadership, donate to my page and help us liberate our wildest revolutionary dreams!
