As many of you are aware, COVID has affected everyone physically, economically, mentally, and spiritually. It is in these hard times that many in our community look to churches for support. However, this devastating disease has left many churches in a state of limbo and Community Church is no exception.
In the past, Community has always found a way to meet their budgetary needs. This year has proven most difficult with the COVID mitigation in place. Although Community Church is blessed with many volunteers and generous donors, they are finding themselves in a substantial shortfall so much so, they are having difficulty fulfilling as well as growing their missions including the programs that mean so much to the community of Pasadena, MD.
That is why we are reaching out to you. We are praying that you consider a donation to help us help our church so that we may assist those in and around our ministry for the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. With your gifts, Community Church will be able to afford the programs; afford the missions that are so important and touch the lives living in the Pasadena Community.
In the coming days, look for posts from the church with updates about their present missions including their programs, updates on those missions, as well as their hopes and for mission at Community Church. We look forward to your generosity. God Bless!
One of Community’s mission programs is called Outreach. Within this program is one of the Church’s most important missions, the Food Pantry. Since the mid 1990’s, the Food Pantry has been bridging the gap with necessary provisions for families who live in the Pasadena area. In addition to weekly assistance, Community Church plays an important role to those who are trying to make ends meet for the fast approaching Holidays. Before COVID, the church was available twice a week to fulfill the needs of the community. Lately, the Pantry has had to scale back operation to only one time a week. Part of it is mitigation but the main reason is operational funding. Outreach typically can raise the funds for the Pantry by having fundraiser’s like the yearly Flea Market and Craft Fair but because of COVID, Community was unable to host these events.
