Color Our World Cancer Free

Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 6, 2021.   Join us for a golf cart parade along the Boulevard and stroll the walking path in support of our fight against cancer.

Dress outlandishly as you'd like in the colors of the cancers that have touched your life.   Decorate the heck out of your golfcart for the parade.   Bring any instrument to make joyous noise along the way!

We encourage all participants to wear masks (decorate them, too!) and be aware of social distancing.

Story

The Barefoot Bay crusade to crush cancer began in the fall of 2019 when the  Community Volunteer Organization (CVO) teamed up with the Barefoot Bay Recreation District (BBRD) to organize our first ever cancer walk - Sea of Pink.  Our Honorary Chair, Joanne Diana,  was a warrior at that time on a valiant crusade.  And, this year, we lost her brave spirit and ready smile.

The goal was modest for that first year.  But, the generosity of the community blew us away.  More than 3X that much was raised to support the Brevard American Cancer Society.

Color Our World Cancer Free is the theme of this year's event where we will recognize all forms of cancer.  You are encouraged to dress in the colors of the cancers that you support.  Join us for a walk or decorate your golf cart parade along the Boulevard.  Lets make joyous noise with musical instruments, bells, whistles, even pots and pans!

Now, more than ever, cancer patients and their loved ones are relying on the American Cancer Society (ACS) to help them through their darkest times in Central Florida.  Due to the struggles with the pandemic, donations are down this year by 40%.  Unfortunately cancer has not taken a break!

Since you're already on this site click DONATE.  Please make a general donation or donate in the name of a team you are supporting.   Become the wind beneath our wings!
