I am so excited to be running the NYC Half Marathon on March 15th to celebrate the life of my dad, Dennis Siatka. It would mean so much to have your support again this year to raise funds for colon cancer research, and spread the word that this disease can be prevented -- not just detected -- with screening.
Colon cancer affects men and women equally and is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States, yet it is highly preventable. The Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation has been working since 2004 to fund screening programs for uninsured and underserved communities, and provide much needed funds to scientists who are committed to finding a cure for this disease.
You can make a donation online by clicking on the Donate button on this page. Even more importantly, if someone you love is turning 50 this year, encourage them to get screened. Screening can prevent colon cancer or detect it at an early stage, when treatment is highly effective.
Thank you for your support and encouragement!
