My older sister Collette is turning the big 4.0. this year. Likely she will KILL me for this as it is a surprise. She loves parties, and for this great milestone, my family and I had planned to throw her a big bash to celebrate the amazing person that she is. COVID-19 pretty much wrecked that. Since I live states away, even having a small gathering for her birthday isn't really a reality this year. Collette is one of the most generous and kind-hearted people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and the best example of a sister and mother that I could ever hope to become. She has helped to orchestrate and execute more parties for other people in her years than anyone else I know, my wedding included. In honor of her this year, and in lieu of a party, we would like to be able to give those parties to others who have had their opportunities for their birthday celebrations stolen. Our goal is to provide 40 birthdays in a box (1 for every amazing year my sister has lived) to childen for whom reaching the next birthday is a magnificent milestone to be cherished. If you know my sister, and would have come to her celebration or brought her a gift, please consider giving in her honor to ensure no child has to spend their birthday in the hospital, oncology center, or hospice without the celebration they so deserve.
