Iness and Jowel are hard working and deeply devoted to Chikumbuso students who have been volunteering at the school for the past year and a half as teacher assistants. After such commitment we would love to be able to send them to college but have yet to find sponsors. I thought perhaps "a village" could send them through this CrowdRise Campaign.
Iness is the daughter to one of our Chikumbuso teachers and although she too loves teaching she would prefer to become a nurse. The nursing program is for 5 years at a cost of $2000/year.
Jowel, the first born in a family of four, has been educated through 12th grade by "well wishers" in the Ngombe community. He has no source of income from either parent which is why he has been volunteering at Chikumbuso for only a small monthly stipend. He would like to study Clinical Medicine at the cost of $1100/year for a period of three years.
The urgency is that they would both like to begin their studies in July.
