Since 1993, Coaches vs. Cancer has served as a cohesive program for coaches of all sports and levels to unite as one team in the fight against cancer. On April 6th, the Colby and Middlebury Women's Lacrosse teams are joining the fight and helping to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We know that many people today have been affected by cancer in some way or another, and we want to help in any way we can! During the pregame warm-up, each team will be seen wearing “Coaches vs. Cancer” shirts. On the back of their shirts will be the name(s) of someone(s) in their life who has been affected by cancer as we want to recognize a small portion of those who have been touched by the battle. Beforehand, and on the day of April 6th, we will be collecting donations, as well as selling shirts for donations to help us reach our goal of raising $8,000 to give back to the American Cancer Society. We are looking forward to a competitive day of lacrosse while still uniting to join the bigger battle: the fight against cancer.
