** Thank you so much for your incredible generosity! Early on it became clear that we were going to cruise past our $500 goal, so we upped it to $1,000; then we smashed that and upped it to $1,500. If we raise that amount, we can do a lot of good for the members of the MS Achievement Center at KU Med, and also raise as much with one team as the whole tournament raised last year. **
A multiple sclerosis diagnosis is a daunting thing for those living with the disease, and adequate support is critical. The MS Achievement Center at KU Med supports and advocates for those with a progressive form of MS. It focuses on both the physical and emotional wellbeing of its members, providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, connections with other MS sufferers, elective classes to demonstrate new ways of staying active, and brain boosting activities.
Because this cause is meaningful to many in Global Transmission, I’m going to let you watch me smash eggs on my head to raise money for it. I’ll even let you bid to do the honor yourself. I’m hoping to raise $1,000 for the cause by participating in Black & Veatch’s 3rd Annual Egg Roulette Tournament held Sept. 16-18. Tickets to watch are $1. I battle Lazlo Von Lazar on Tuesday, September 17th at 11:30 AM in the IP Cafe. Donations are strongly encouraged, and those who donate at least $10 will be entered into a drawing to win a HALF DAY OF PTO (TWO PRIZES AVAILABLE). Private bids will be accepted for those who want to smash an egg on my head (these spots are coveted and limited, so get your bids in ASAP!).
All proceeds will go to the MS Achievement Center and help them improve the quality of life for MS sufferers in the Kansas City area.
