When I sit back and think about how many people I'm close with who have a child with Type 1 Diabetes it makes me think that I don't want to sit back anymore. I want to help make a difference in their lives! So I'm going to swim bike and run in the Cohasset triathlon to support those with Type 1, in particular, my nephew Tommy. Tommy was diagnosed a little over a year ago. He may have to manage life with this disease but Type 1 surely doesn't define him. Tommy is clever and witty and always a blast to be around. He's just a kick ass kid who is brazen, bold, and brave. He never ceases to amaze me in so many ways! So please help me to raise money and awareness for this disease that affects so many. All proceeds I raise go directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, a leader in the fight against Type 1. The Cohasset Triathlon has partnered with this organization over the years and has become one of the leading fundraising events benefiting JDRF. Please consider donating to this worthwhile cause! Thank you!
