In moving to New York there are several new challenges I've tried to tackle, and anyone who knows me knows "learning to run" is probably the one with the lowest likelyhood for success, BUT here I am, gearing up for a 5K in park slope this Spring!
Half of the motivatioin around this comes from what a good cause this is . CAMBA is a non-profit agency that provides services that connect people with opportunities to enhance their quality of life here in NYC.
CAMBA’s services reach more than 60,000 individuals and families every year, including 10,000 young people, and brings critical programs to New Yorkers of all backgrounds. Their work helps prevent families from being evicted from their home, helps break the generational cycle of poverty by assisting high school students to become the first in their family to attend college and brings literacy classes, legal services and job training programs to immigrants and low-income adults.
Thanks for supporting their mission and mine!
