Every hand, every dollar, every heart, every person with a home!
Since 1994, Coastal Habitat for Humanity has been working in southern coastal Monmouth County to provide safe and affordable housing for those in need. Helping to fulfill the dream of home ownership, we build safe, affordable, energy-efficient homes for partner families within our 18 communities. In addition, we provide necessary, often critical, repairs and modifications for seniors and eligible homeowners through our Aging in Place and A Brush with Kindness programs allowing those families to remain in their primary residences, reducing displacement and stabilizing local communities.
Our builds and revitalization efforts are volunteer-driven, which helps us keep costs low. For every hour of paid staff time on a build, Coastal Habitat benefits from over 10 hours of volunteer time. However, there are still expenses in helping our families and communities. A typical home build costs approximately $140,000 in materials; modifications and repairs in our Aging in Place program average $1,200 for a senior homeowner.
When you donate, you help us build homes and revitalize our communities giving local families safe, secure places to gather, grow and thrive. Your donation will go toward the purchase of:
$25 - screws or nails
$50 - light fixtures
$100 - windows
$200 - kitchen cabinets or front door
$500 - sheetrock, roofing or siding
$750 - basic modifications in a home to allow a senior citizen to live more comfortably in their home.
Your generous gift will provide much needed funding to our mission of building hope, homes, and community. We are always grateful of donations of any size and appreciate your continued support of our work in serving southern coastal Monmouth County.
Change happens when people work together to create and implement a shared vision – come join us. Thank you for supporting Coastal Habitat for Humanity!
