Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro For Cancer
HOPE. A small word with huge importance. This June, CancerClimber Association is taking an expedition team to Africa to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. The group will be composed of hikers honoring someone they know who has been touched by cancer, raising funds to “pay it forward” and send survivors next year for free, as part of the CancerClimber’s Adventure Support Grant Program. Sean Swarner (co-founder of CCA, a 2x terminal survivor, mountaineer, author, and one of the world’s top 8 most inspirational people) is leading the team. Our group will be carrying a flag to the summit where it will remain for thousands to see. This is where you can be a part of the team and a part of the climb. By making a donation you can add the name of a loved one, friend, or anyone you know who has been touched by cancer to our flag, memorializing them forever on the roof of Africa. "The human body can survive for about 30 days without food. The human condition can sustain itself for about 3 days without water, but no human alive can survive for more than 30 seconds without HOPE, because without hope we have nothing!" -Sean Swarner. Please add the names of those you wish to honor in the "comments section" and they will be added to the flag before the team leaves. This flag will remain on Mount Kilimanjaro for all future climbers and trekkers to see. 100% of the funds go to CancerClimber’s Adventure Support Grant (ensuring future survivors this amazing, fully-funded trip of a lifetime!), Development of our mobile camp for young adults with cancer, Personal visits to patients to inspire HOPE, and inspiring all those touched by cancer to focus on LIVING! "All of us are alive, but not everyone is truly LIVING" -Sean Swarner. Our mission: To help those touched by cancer by focusing on living an active, healthy lifestyle.
