In honor of my mother, I am dedicating my July 2019 Matterhorn climb to raise money and awareness to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
Alzheimer’s disease is defined as an irreversible, progressive disorder that results in the physical atrophy of the brain. Memory functions slowly slip away, and cognitive skills are lost. Eventually, the degradation of the brain can result in heart attack, stroke, or other physical maladies that lead to death: Alzheimer’s disease is always fatal.
At this time, there is no known cure.
I chose CURE ALZ as the charity I would like to benefit as 100% of contributions go directly to research.
My goal is to raise $1 for every foot to the Matterhorn summit (14,692 ft.) but the sky is the limit. Please help me make it to the top!
I will be posting pictures so stay tuned!
