Hello my name is Alyssa Castaneda and I currently attend Woodrow Wilson high school. I decided to join the softball team this year and luckily I made it and I’m grateful for that.During this time I met two of my closest friends Zadie and Nevaeh. During spring break our coach decided to call us up and we had a talk about people around us who need help and how she wants us and our community to be aware of them. During the talk we learned that Zadie and Nevaeh has both lost their moms to cancer and this encouraged us to start doing these things. Our plan was to set up a program with our nearby hospital to have to have parents, students, staff, teachers and many other people. Sadly, we didn’t get the chance to speak to the hospital administrators and we couldn’t get any help that’s why I’m here writing about my story so maybe you can be able to help me and my community.
