Concordia Lutheran High School Army JROTC students are hosting a fundraiser to benefit local Fort Wayne Heroes. Their fundraiser will benefit Honor Flights of Northeast Indiana, Shepherd's House Fort Wayne, and the Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana at the request of the Fort Wayne Police Department. JROTC Cadets normally go out and fundraise to collect donations for these worthy causes by visiting businesses and going door to door. In this new Covid-19 era, we are switching our fundraising efforts to virtual fundraising. The CLHS JROTC Cadets also would raise additional monies by planning and executing the AJ Arnett Honor Run. The profits made from the race in the past were donated to these causes. They would plan the race as part of a service learning project. They are working even harder to try and raise as much money as possible since the 2020 race was cancelled due to the Pandemic.
**Thanks to the generosity of a Concordia Lutheran High School alumni, who wishes to remain anonymous the first $5,000 raised will be matched in memory of his best friend , Woody Schwartz.**
The AJ Arnett 5K Honor Run is being held on Saturday May 22, 2021. The race starts and finishes at Concordia Lutheran High School. Over the last 5 years we have been able to donate over $42,000 to Honor Flights of Northeast Indiana and Shepherd’s House. Our goal is to raise even more for our worthy causes then we have in previous years.
