Hurricane Dorian was the most powerful tropical cyclone on record to strike the Bahamas, and is regarded as the worst natural disaster in the country’s history. In the capital city of 400,000 people 90% of the infrastructure was damaged or destroyed, leaving survivors with no food, water, or shelter. It is times like this that we must come together to help those in need.
Moses West, the founder of the Water Rescue Foundation, has been in Flint, MI providing free clean drinking water to a community that has been dealing with lead-contaminated water. Now, he wants to take the machine to the Bahamas. Moses’ concern is, “This is a long-term recovery for the people there, and one of the stresses that they do not need to have is a lack of clean water.”
Donations will be used to transport the machine to the Bahamas. Enough support will allow him to leave the water generator there permanently and train locals to operate and maintain it.
Please consider helping the Water Rescue Foundation bring clean water to the Bahama’s community!
