Can you believe it’s been 30 years since our official incorporation as a not-for-profit? The challenges we have overcome are definitely life experiences! Together with all the support of so many- we forge ahead. Even with this pandemic, we continue to look forward to new adventures. In 30 years- we have also endured the passing of so many of our therapy horses. Since many of them are already seniors when we get them, we don’t have that much time with them. One thing is certain though- they must already feel like they’ve gone to heaven when they come to Centaur Stride! Our staff gives them the best care and the many volunteers and riders give them much love. We have to find replacements for the two horses we lost this past Fall, Gigi and Saigon. Their shoes will be hard to fill for sure! We are also praying for some grant proposals to be approved that will allow us to have an after-school and summer program for teens, with specific goals and criteria, and a Saturday Drill Team. We run on a very austere budget and cannot add new programs without more support. Our annual fundraisers of the walkathon and Christmas Cheers basket raffle fill in the required operating budget just to provide for the horses. So please pray for us and if you are able- please donate to my page. Thank you so much!
