I am a Vancouverite but reside in London, England. I am heading back to my hometown to run my first marathon - the BMO Vancouver Marathon on 08 May, and I am running the marathon to support Covenant House Vancouver, a local charity that I feel extremely passionate about.
Founded in 1997 Covenant House Vancouver offers a clear exit from life on the street to youth aged 16 - 24. They make this possible through a carefully designed Continuum of Care including a daily drop-in, a 54 bed residential crisis program, a transitional living program, relapse prevention and life skills training.
Each day young people come to Covenant House Vancouver damaged from the abuses of their past, desperately needing love and guidance. Over the next year more than 1,100 homeless young people will come to Covenant House Vancouver and take the first steps in creating a better life for themselves by reaching out and saying, “Can you help me?”... and together we can.
Please support me in my quest to raise funding for such an important, impactful cause. Thank you!
