Please help CityLax take advantage of historic lacrosse opportunities coming to New York City:
For many of us at CityLax, we remember the first high-level collegiate game that we attended and how that experience inspired us to become better athletes and work harder to achieve our goals. Due to the limited number of DI lacrosse teams in New York City, the associated costs with attending a game, and the fact that there has never before been a DI Lacrosse Championship in NYC, many of our student-athletes have never had the chance to attend a high-level collegiate game. Our goal is to bring this experience to as many NYC youth lacrosse players as we can, by raising money to cover the expenses for NYC youth lacrosse players to attend high-level collegiate lacrosse games, including regular season and championship games in and around New York City.
Funds will be used for tickets and transportation costs for youth players in middle school and younger. Please help CityLax bring this unique experience to the youth lacrosse players of New York City!
About CityLax
CityLax, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to growing the game of lacrosse in New York City in a public-private partnership with the Public School (PSAL) system and in partnerships and alliances with community-based organizations. We are currently focused on introducing and expanding lacrosse into New York City schools and geographies that historically have had little or no access to the game and that are predominantly comprised of populations from lower income families. Through a character-based mentoring/coaching program, CityLax uses lacrosse as a teaching mechanism for helping student-athletes see the value of taking charge of their education, living a healthier lifestyle, and developing life skills for successful college and career advancement.
