City Springs Elementary/Middle School is a well-loved, highly regarded neighborhood school in East Baltimore, which continues to grow and improve.
In 2005, City Springs enrollment was 398. It is currently 763. This increase in enrollment is due to the fact that more and more people in the neighborhood chose to send their students to their neighborhood school.
In fact, the demand for seats at City Springs has exceeded capacity, necessitating the improvement of a portion of an adjacent school to house its pre-k-2nd grades.
Parents know that their students will receive excellent instruction; a full complement of arts, sports, and clubs; access to health care at the school’s clinic; a positive environment dedicated to the daily use of Restorative Practices; recognition for accomplishments; and above all, success
We believe that all students have talents and can learn through a variety of instructional experiences. We believe that Direct Instruction, Singapore Math, and Core Knowledge are the best ways for our children to learn. These instructional programs provide strategies in order for our students to master skills. Once a solid foundation is in place, instruction connects concepts and builds skills to ensure mastery.
We also believe that all students are unique which should be addressed through in-school and extracurricular programs that develop life skills and leadership qualities and that foster self-esteem, self-motivation, and success.
We further believe that the home and community should contribute to the total development of our students. We need YOU to share in our vision to help us develop an education for life for our students.
Your support will help us provide our students with the programs and experiences they need to succeed in high school, college and career.
