18 years ago, I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. I'm one of the rare survivors of late stage and recurring ovarian cancer. One would think that 18 years later, I could tell you about great strides made in diagnosis, treatment and survival rates, but sadly, that isn't the case. Each year, I speak with dozens of women newly diagnosed & they are offered the exact same treatments I was 18 years ago. Not much has changed... Ovarian cancer is still killing more women than all the gynecologic cancers combined. There is "NO Early Detection Test" and symptoms are so vague, most women feel they didn't have any symptoms at all. 75-80% of women diagnosed are already in the late stages of the disease where survival rates are frighteningly low. While new drugs continue to be developed and released, the side effects often outweigh the benefits. Life extension from these drugs is measured in months rather than years. The good news is... There are many dedicated scientists and researchers working hard to find better & more effective treatments and developing a reliable early detection test, but they can't do it without our support. Ovarian Cancer desperately needs more research support. Please help me reach my fundraising goal this year. It means a great deal to so many. I am deeply grateful for any donation you can make, no matter how small or how large. Love & Light ~ Chris Bledy
