My name is Josue De Paz and I'm fundraising for CSF. As you may or may not know, I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to high school in California which allowed me to get a great education -- it’s one of the reasons that I'm where I am today. Because of the generosity of others, my life changed.
I know that we all have bills, loans, & countless other things to worry about, but all I ask is that you think about the potential impact you'd be making in someone's life. I'm not a runner by any means (the couch is my best friend), but knowing this could benefit a child in need pushed me to be brave and sign up.
I'd ask that you consider donating a minimum of $1 for every mile that I'm going to suffer through during this race, if that's possible for you. If you can donate more, please do. If not, $1, $5, anything helps!
If you'd like to know more about CSF, please see below. Thanks for considering my campaign and happy holidays!
P.S. if you have any good running tips, please share. This is my first half marathon and I'm a little nervous. Thanks again!
At CSF, we believe a quality elementary school education puts children on the path to success in life. To that end, we provide partial scholarships to low-income families so their children can attend the K-8 schools that will help them reach their full potential.
For more than 20 years, the Children's Scholarship Fund has been providing scholarships to children in New York City, changing the trajectory of 34,500 lives for the better. By investing in CSF scholarships, you are helping more children have the opportunity to attend the schools that best meet their needs.
