I chose to run the Pittsburgh Marathon and fundraise for the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh because of two little ladies that have benefitted greatly from the care at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
My niece, Cameron, was born on May 16, 2015 with Down Syndrome. The Down Syndrome Center at Children's Hospital has been such a valuable resource to my sister and her family, we can't thank Dr. Kishore Vellody enough for the amazing work he does, here in Pittsburgh, and beyond. #YesWeCam
In addition, my best friend's daughter, Thomasina, was diagnosed with High Risk Neuroblastoma on December 9, 2018. She is only four years old. While her fight is just starting, we are confident the doctors and staff at the amazing Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh will help this family fight to beat this thing. #TommieTough
