Children in the remote Andes of Peru who have cleft lips and palates face the possibility of a lifetime of stigma, indignity and uncertainty. I believe it is very difficult for these children to reach (or even know) their potential. The Children of Peru Foundation gives hope for a more positive life for these children.
I have had the privilege (in 2016, 2017, 2018) to work as a pediatric anesthesiologist with Medical Missions For Children. Our team performs life-changing procedures, including cleft lip repair and cleft palate repair, in Cusco, Peru. This mission is made possible by the Children of Peru Foundation.
My immediate goal is to run the Western Pacific Marathon to raise support for the important work being done through the Children of Peru Foundation.
Please make a donation in support of this effort and give a child the chance for a more positive life.
Think about this for a moment: $300 pays for 1 cleft surgery. One child. One life. One future.
Thank you for your generosity!!
