Chi Psi Runs Berkeley is an annual running team fielded by actives and alumni of Delta Delta. They will run for charity on November 17th at the Berkeley Half-Marathon/10K, with goal of raising $3,000-$5,000 in honor of the late Mark Kendall Bingham, ΔΔ ‘93, former Delta Delta #1 and 9/11 hero from United Flight 93. The Mark Kendall Bingham Memorial Running Team serves as a living testament to Brother Bingham's history of community, spirit, and sacrifice. This year, all contributions will be donated to Lincoln Families, an Oakland nonprofit that locally helps at-risk and emotionally troubled youth within urban communities. Presently, 1/3 of low-income Oakland students today don’t graduate high school and Lincoln’s service are desperately needed. Any donation, $10 or $100 will make an impact.
Lincoln opened in 1883 as the first racially-integrated orphanage in Northern California. Today, Lincoln provides a full suite of community and on-site school services throughout Alameda and Contra Costa County that enable vulnerable and emotionally troubled children and their families to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
