This summer I will be part of a team of volunteers working on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. Working with Rural Area Veterinary Services (RAVS), I will be helping to provide 10 days of small animal spay/neuter and wellness services in various communities on the reservation. All funds raised through this campaign will go towards providing both preventative care and life saving medical intervention for pets who have had little to no access to veterinary care recently. The cost of this care does not come cheap and RAVS relies solely on donations in order to continue to help animals as well as allow veterinary students like myself to gain valuable learning experiences.
Here are a few examples of what your contribution will go towards:
$10: Vaccine for dog/cat
$25: Treat a dog with tick-borne illness
$35: Drugs/surgical materials to spay/neuter dog/cat
$75: Life-saving parvo virus treatment for a puppy
$100: Spay/neuter, vaccines, prevention for dog/cat
$250: Emergency surgery and aftercare for dog/cat
Please consider making a donation to my fundraising campaign!
