In June, we are participating in Pull for Pride, a deadlift only event and fundraiser for Lambert House in Seattle. As powerlifters, we support sharing the platform with all lifters. We couldn't think of a better ally for LGBT+ issues than Cher to represent us.
Donna: As the mother of a non-binary child, I have witnessed the pain, confusion, and anxiety that comes along with trying to understand where they fit in this society. I have also witnessed the strength, maturity, and compassion that comes with accepting and being accepted. Join me in showing these kids they matter!
Madeline: I am so ecstatic to be able to participate in Pull for Pride this year in Seattle. I am pulling in this meet as a way to directly support local LGBTQ+ youth and to show up as an ally for the national community. Please support my team in our mission to raise big money and pull big weight!
Alyssa: As a high school teacher, I have witnessed first hand the struggles that LGBTQ+ youth have to go through and know what a difference having support can make. It is more important than ever that groups like Lambert House exist. They provide amazing resources to local youth and I am excited to support and be an ally to this local organization for LGBTQ+ youth in Washington, and to “Cher” the platform with some amazing lifters!
Every person deserves to feel safe
Every person deserves to feel accepted
Every person deserves to lift, laugh, and love freely
