---Yearly Fundraiser 2018-2019---
Help us raise money to keep our doors open!
Who are we?
Chelsea Forest School provides a complement to mainstream education by operating almost entirely in the outdoors. Children ages 3-10 have the opportunity to experience child-led inquiry based education while repetitively exploring in their natural environment. We are a non-profit registered charity as well a cooperative. As a cooperative we are run entirely by parent volunteers.
Why do we need money?
While we have paid teachers, our volunteers do everything from hiring staff and writing contracts to marketing and registration to fundraising and volunteering in the forest with our children's classes. This model allows us to keep our costs low and be affordable to families in a variety of income levels. However, it also means that we are highly dependent on fundraising to cover our basic operating costs.
Why is it so important?
More and more research is pointing to the benefits of a Forest and Nature School education. Please allow us to keep our doors open by donating to our school. Even a small donation makes a big difference. All donors will receive a tax receipt
