As founders of Charlottesville Dress Company, a vintage-inspired, made-to-order fashion company we would like to celebrate our commitment to being "Made in Charlottesville," by raising funds toward the efforts of the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Without their support, political and economic refugees would not have the successful transitions that are facilitated by IRC.
Our company expects to grow with the unique seamstress skills of several refugees from Afghanistan. For many of you who read the Kite Runner, you can imagine the economic hardships the Afghan people face in their home country and after emigrating to the US.
We applaud IRC for helping with transitions and we want to raise awareness of the importance of hiring recent immigrants. Please pitch in to support IRC today!
