His love for running never ended. He joined the St Louis Track Club and only quit when he had to have knee surgery. Even then, he went to the races to hand out water.
Charlie would never leave anywhere without making you laugh. He had a joke for everything. Even when in the nursing home he would make "beep, beep" noises when he was coming down the hallway.
Charlie's family would like to thank Mary and her family for loving Dad all these years and being there for him during the holidays. He really enjoyed your family gatherings and was always telling us how much fun he had.
We would also like to thank Cardinal Ritter Senior Services for taking care of Dad the last 1.5 years of his life. We know he could be difficult and stubborn but always left you laughing. Thank you to the entire staff at Mary, Queen and Mother Center who took such good care of him.
Thank you to Tim, his roommate, who prayed and supported dad these last few years. We appreciate the love and care you gave to us and dad.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the American Red Cross. Dad was a big advocate of donating blood and always felt the need to contribute to others.
