The Ohio Hispanic Coalition (OHCO) was found in 1990 to serve the Latino/Hispanic communities throughout the state of Ohio. Even after almost 30 years, there is still a lack of services fitting for Spanish-speakers and/or people who identify as Latino. All services provided through the Coalition are provided by staff who speak both English and Spanish and are part of the Latino community.
We provide services in interpreation and translation to help community members who may not speak English access services; hold an after school program and summer enrichment camp to help children ages 5-12 from low-income families achieve academic success; and empower victims of abuse with support and additional services to help through a very hard time in their lives.
This year's theme of "Our Children. Our Hope. Our Future," will support our children from low-income families in receiving a toy for the holidays; and bring more educational programs in engineering, science, math, arts, and others for Latino youth to create a future full of hope and opportunities.
