The Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) Panther Battalion at Chapel Hill High School in Douglasville, Georgia is currently raising funds for their unit. The NJROTC program enhances leadership skills and community development characteristics for young adults pursuing higher education and job skills.
Activities that the cadets participate in consist of the following:
Community service work such as helping at senior citizen centers, working local events for the city of Douglasville, supplying Color Guards, marching in parades, and participating in cultural arts events.
Academic competitions that strengthen their knowledge of world history and military protocols.
Orienteering skills which allow them to learn land navigation.
Cyber Patriot competitions allow the cadets to learn cyber network security.
Drone meets that help with hand eye coordination and precise motor skills .
Orientation trips give them the ability to visit military bases, museums, as well as local colleges.
Drill and athletic meets that enhance their precision of military bearing and athletic prowess and teamwork.
Rifle squad teaches hand eye coordination and the ability to be consistent in a repetitive competition.
Your donations will help offset the costs involved with all of the above events as well as uniforms and awards that are not covered by the funds received from the Navy.
