My journey began 3 years ago when I landed a job working with kids who had autism. I knew absolutely nothing about autism and wasn‘t sure if I would be good at this, but I took the plunge and went through all the training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
On my very first day working with a child I knew I had found my calling. fast forward to now and I am half way through grad school to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I wanted to find a way to help even more and that‘s when I heard about Skills Corps. Skills Corps goes all around the world to help educate about autism and to help get services started in communities and individuals trained to work with kids and families affected by autism.
I am so excited to be a part of this project, but funds are needed to be able to help these communities. Each person accepted into Skills Corps does fundraising before they travel to their volunteer site. I am going to India in July of 2019 and am setting my goal at a minimum of $5000.00.
Your donations are greatly appreciated, and will be going for a great cause. The money raised is only for the program itself. I will be paying my own way there. Help me help others!
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!
