Who R We
Heeey there \(//∇//)\ !!! This is Andie Liu from Chaminade College Preparatory H.S.!!!
This year, together with my best dude Leah Gadi (an AMAZING girl), I founded “Chaminade student Onesky”. As students, we want to help kids who are orphaned or left behind by their parents in impoverished areas of China through fundraising. Our aim is to offer these young kids proper care, nutrition, and education in order for them to flourish happily and healthily(*≧ω≦).
My Dad' Story
Personally, I feel very connected to this project, because my dad was one of these poor kids. He made it out of his situation through his own effort, but he never forgets where he is from. He always reminds me that today hundreds of thousands of poor kids are still trapped.
I used to visit my dad's hometown every year before I came to America, and I loved to hang out with the local kids in order to learn about their lives. Most of them lived alone or with their grandparents while the parents were away for their jobs in cities.
My dad always tried his best to improve the kids’ situation. Together with his friends, he called for government aid and financed local schools and orphanages. "This is the least I can do for these kids," he said. For over ten years, little by little, they have changed the community tremendously (BRAVO DADDY!!).
As a witness of my dad's work, I have always admired his humanity and grit. I want to be like him. That's why I joined Onesky without hesitation.
I always find Onesky unusually precious. It really touches me to see people from outside of China willing to pay their attention to, and spend money, time, and effort on the poor kids in China. I feel deeply grateful and happy to be part of this program.

To My Club Fellows!!!
And here is a big thanks for my club fellows, who possess qualities and devotions that seem too great for a bunch of teenagers ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. We have been doubted and mocked since the beginning of this project, but none of us ever backed down. Now I’d like to ask people to refresh their perspective of us teenagers, for I have learned from my fellows that being young and bald does not mean that we only daydream, but rather, it means that we are willing to go all out just to make a difference.\(^ω^)/
To Ya My Loving People!!!
I always believe LOVE is the most powerful thing in the world; it can build a bridge across the ocean, across languages, and across cultures. So I’d like to invite ALL of you, my loving people, to come join us. No matter how old you are, or where you are from, please help us stoke up the fire and warm the kids (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))
As the Bible says, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
As Confucius says, “Love others as you would love yourself… When you wish for others as you wish for yourself and when you protect others as you would protect yourself, that's when you can say it's true love. ”
As Quran says, “Allah loves those who do good”.
Hand in Hand!! We are under ONESKY!!!
THANK YA and LUV YA ALL!!!
