My name is Chad Parenteau. I am a poet, an opinion writer, the host of Boston's Stone Soup Poetry reading series, Associate Editor of Oddball Magazine and a regional representative of Mass Poetry.
I am currently participating in Raise Your Verse, a Mass Poetry fundraising event to raise money for their various projects (which includes the annual Massachusetts Poetry Festival, coming again in 2019).
I write weekly poems, take regular poetry challenges online and have participated in National Poetry Writing Month every April for over a decade. In addition, I have been commissioned in the past to write pieces for both individuals and organizations. I feel this makes me disciplined enough to write incentive pieces for anyone who donates.
Fellow poets: For every donation you make, you can send me a writing prompt and/or challenge. Unless you request otherwise, I will do my best to post each poem on my blog in a timely fashion. https://chadparenteaupoetforhire.blogspot.com/
Non-poet donors: For every donation, I will write one poem at your request. This could be an anniversary poem for a loved one, a poem commemorating an event, a humorous birthday poem, or whatever you can think of. Let me know about any pressing deadlines, provide me information about the person, place or event, and I will write the piece as quickly as I can. These pieces will not be subjected to republication unless the donator specifies otherwise.
If you have no poem requests, check my blog regularly, as I will do my best to post something for the fundraiser at least once a week, no matter what.
