Help us support music therapy during this time of need.
Concert for a Cause Inc is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to increasing awareness for music therapy through music centered community events to support Georgia organizations who provide board-certified music therapy services. It began in 2014 as Caroline Buckner’s Girl Scout Gold Award Project. Three years of hard work and community support later, her project became an established 501c3 nonprofit.
Concert for a Cause focuses on advocating for the benefits of music as well as fundraising to support Georgia organizations that offer music therapy services. In the last 5 years, we have contributed approximately $6,000 worth of funds and donations to these programs.
Our first year, we outfitted all of the rooms on the Critical Intensive Rehabilitation Unit with Bluetooth CD Players as well as iTunes gift cards and headphones for 50 patients, some of which were used for a talent show of those patients involved with the music therapy program. In consecutive years, we have funded many wish list needs and projects presented by our community partners.
Each year we host a variety of events to further our mission and allow us to support our community partners. Thanks to our small business sponsors, we host monthly fundraising events at local restaurants and shops. In addition to that, we have community and university organization partners that graciously host events on our behalf throughout the year.
We kindly ask that you join us in supporting the music therapy community. Your gift will help us in our goal of advocating for music therapy and supporting music therapy services.
