A new cohort of CEOs of Tomorrow’s young entrepreneurs is headed to Africa from July 10-21, 2020 as part of the Teens Mean Business Global Excursion Program. Learn more about this exciting program here.
Last year our first cohort of teen entrepreneurs traveled to Gaborone, Botswana in Africa where they partnered with orphaned and vulnerable adolescents to develop and launch a small business that generates money AND addresses a common global social issue. Now, our second cohort is excited to go and build on what their friends started.
This once-in-a-lifetime program offers a team of our talented and passionate teen entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn, grow, and give back in ways they never thought possible—immersing them in a rich and real cultural experience that empowers them to be active and entrepreneurial global citizens.
About Our Partner in Botswana, Africa:
Stepping Stone International: Running an innovative after school and community outreach programs, Stepping Stone International serves orphaned and vulnerable adolescents.
“This is the first experience for our youth to learn about entrepreneurship and work on a business project promoting the issue of improving and assuring quality education,” explains Stepping Stones International Executive Director Lisa Jamu. “Besides learning to become business partners, this experience enables our youth to engage with the Madison students, removing cultural barriers and creating fast friends. ”
Why are donations necessary? CEOs of Tomorrow has received a generous grant to cover a portion of the travel costs for participating students. We are asking our teens, their families and supporters like you to assist them in covering their trip costs. Students will be working hard to earn their own money to pay for the trip, but we want to ensure that none of our deserving students miss this opportunity of a lifetime due to a lack of funds.
How are my donations used? Your donations directly benefit our students by helping them and the staff chaperones cover the cost of airfare, passports, traveler’s insurance, lodging and meals, business supplies, tours, and in-country transportation.
All donations are tax-deductible.
