Central United Methodist Church has many ministries that support individuals in need. For example, The NOAH Project (Networking, Organizing, and Advocating for the Homeless), whose mission is to empower low income and homeless Detroiters to achieve stability by serving as the first step on the journey to self-sufficiency.
However, Noah suspended full programming due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but limited services are still available. Right now, in the lobby of the church, NOAH continues their ministry to those experiencing homelessness by bringing them in, providing hand washing stations, access to food, checking if folks have mail on-site, and connecting those in need to resources to find permanent housing.
This program is funded in part by offerings collected during service. Still, Sunday services are canceled, and cash reserves are scarce, but this program and others must continue to support Detroiters in need during this critical time.
Here is where you come in; any support you can give is much appreciated! Your gift is tax-deductible as allowed by law.
