Welcome! We are happy you have come here.
The Center for Sacred Studies is evolving and transforming!
2018 is proving to be an exciting time - on so many levels!
CSS was formed in 2001 through our Kayumari community (now over 23 years), and has been touching the world ever since through our mission of sustaining ways of life based on collaboration and reciprocity with the Earth and all Her Beings.
Through our Head ~ CSS Administration, Non-profit status and the Container that holds all of it;
Through our Heart ~ Our Global University Education & Ministry Programs and Ceremonies;
and Through our Hands ~ Our Fountain Project; our action in the World with our many volunteers!
This prayer has taken us to many locations, communities, countries and nations around the world.
We offer so many programs, trainings, courses and free content that the structure of our operation must be reworked so that all of these offerings are easy to access and everyone who works for CSS is able to contribute their passion with focus.
We have been very blessed and NOW it is time to create a sustainable model for our growth based on a plan that is in alignment and in integrity with the vision, energy and prayer upon which CSS was founded.
At this time, we have received a number of inspiring ideas and offerings that are exciting and positive.
What we need at this time are funds to help us become a self-sustaining organization which welcomes but no longer relies on donations in order to operate.
While maintaing what we do have, we want to create a team that can craft a fully-comprehensive system that will allow CSS, once the system is fully implemented and operating, to be fiscally and energetically sustainable.
Just as the Earth is experiencing great transformation at this time, so we also are undergoing an important transformation for the Center for Sacred Studies. We are happy you are here to join us in this transformation!
We’ve been told that raising money for organizational changes isn’t exciting.
Well, let’s prove them wrong… because our growth IS exciting!
This year we are revamping:
1. Our website and online store
2. Our internal systems, such as bookkeeping, inter-department communication and reporting
3. Outreach for projects we support
4. Our employee to volunteer ratios
5. Our Team by hiring new financial and executive officers
6. Our Membership/Directory; offering more podcasts and information you are asking for and so much more!
How to help:
We are looking to raise $35,000 in the next 30 days to support our organization in this time of huge growth.
Every donation is helpful! If 350 people donate $100… we are there!
And our community is so much bigger than that --
We trust that you know what is right for your budget. $10 to $500 – let’s show up as a community for The Center for Sacred Studies.
We deeply appreciate your energy and support!
Consider donating to our fundraiser if you appreciate:
· How CSS connects people to indigenous Earth-based ways of prayer and sacred traditions
· How CSS has curated online courses around deep healing with plants, ceremony and energy work
· How CSS takes a stand for Wisdom Keepers and their much-needed teachings
And will help us to continue supporting powerful and important projects like these:
Current
Camp For Peace – Liberia- Established to equip communities in Liberia with knowledge and skills for sustainable peace through trauma healing, promotion of the culture of nonviolence, reconciliation, education, accountable governance and social transformation.
PaHa Sapa Unity Alliance- Formed at the direction of the Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Association to assist and facilitate the Great Sioux Nation in preparations for meetings with the United States of America concerning the status of the Black Hills and appropriate reparations for the treaty violations of the United States of America with regard to the Black Hills.
Fukushima Solutions– Bringing healing to both our human family and the oceans by reconnecting to nature and raising our consciousness. By joining others in similar work, we can co-create with the spiritual formative forces of the Universe and heal the waters of the earth with love, meditation/prayer and sacred technology.
Other Projects that are completed:
Black Hills Unity Concerts– Supported these events for four years where thousands of people converged for a UNITY CONCERT — bringing together Native American tribes with those on the right side of justice to return the guardianship of the Black Hills to the Great Sioux Nation.
Akha Children’s Dream Home- Created a children’s home in the hilltribes of northern Thailand for the Akha peoples in order to provide meals, education, and cultural preservation of their dance and language.
Girl’s Education Project, Malawi Africa– Built bathrooms in safe locations for girls in Malawi to tend to their personal hygiene. Many young women would often not go to school during their menstrual cycles. These safe bathrooms allowed them to continue their schooling throughout the month.
CliniCentro Yarrow- Established clinic to provide natural, indigenous and holistic health services to poor communities in rural Choluteca Honduras.
Tibetan Stupa Project– Construced a sacred Stupa in a rural village in Tibet with the intention of preserving indigenous Tibetan traditions which are continue to face increased deterioration.
Turtle Women Rising– Supported Drumming for Peace events in Washington DC & other locations for Peace on the Planet.
Learn more about us:
The seeds of the Center for Sacred Studies were first planted back in 1995 in our intentional community, Kayumari. We chose at that time to live together in community, to raise our children together and to create a safe place for prayer while nurturing our relations to the Divine and to this wondrous Creation.
We began to offer trainings, ceremony and healing work that open consciousness in ourselves and others, helping everyone to return to their full authenticity, which we formalized as a pathway for spiritual growth and education through CSS. We offer certifications and accreditations that take this sacred work into the world, enabled by our adepts. In this awareness they become part of the movement that is growing through our Earth Initiatives.
Through the years we have trained thousands of people from all over the world. Our trainees and ministers are starting their own centers, galvanizing communities, empowering movements and individuals, and living spiritual lives by example. Many have stayed in the community and in turn helped to grow it. And according to Divine plan, CSS and our efforts have brought us into authentic relations with many indigenous elders and spiritual leaders around the world; people who have guided us, initiated us in their traditions and who continue to direct us as together we move forward into this new era of peace.
CSS is a registered 501c3, and in addition to its own programs it also provides fiscal sponsorship for one of our most sacred endeavors, The Fountain, providing non-profit status, additional staff and organizational support. The Fountain was initiated in 2012 to restore an economic model based on collaboration and reciprocity guided by Nature and the Sacred - one that existed before money during a time of harmony with Nature and each other, when all had what they needed and were in step with Creator and Nature as spiritual beings living a human experience in this beautiful world.
We deeply appreciate your time and energy in connecting with us. Your support will help us continue for years to come.
We’ll be updating you with how this is flowing!
We are so grateful for your generosity of Spirit!
With love and every blessing,
All of Your Relations at The Center for Sacred Studies,
Darlene, Jyoti, Hanayo, Margin, Trish & Valerie, and our CSS Board
