Team "CemoStrong"
Hello family and friends.
I have joined "Team LA Fire" to help fundraise for the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen's Fund.
It is with great honor to be running the LA Marathon on March 24, 2019 in memory of our good friend, LAFD Fire Capt.II Cecil Morris aka: Cemo.
Chris and Cemo were fire brothers that shared a close friendship. They worked side by side many times throughout Cecil's career. They were both assigned to FS 75's in February 2017 when Cecil Retired with 30 years of service. Six short months after retirement Cecil was diagnosed with brain cancer and 8 months later he passed away.
Cecil was called home to be with the Lord on April 17, 2018. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 22 years, Anita and his two sons, Brandon and Jordon.
The Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen's Fund (WODFF) is a great non-profit charity that is dedicated to helping the families of LAFD firefighters facing a serious crisis, such as being injured or a death while on or off duty. The WODFF has been a tremendous asset to the Morris family in helping them throughout Cecil's illness and after his passing.
Tragedy and life changing events can happen at any time. It is a blessing to know that the WODFF is there to help our fire families in their time of need.
Please consider a donation to support our local LAFD heroes and their families.
Thank you
