Anthony Thompson will be forever remembered as someone who touched the hearts of many with his genuine care for every person he met, his amazing zest for life, and his ability to light up a room with his infectious smile. His quick wit and sense of humor was like no other; he always kept everyone laughing.
Anthony was taken from all those who loved and adored him way too early. He fought an incredible fight against Stage 4 Lung Cancer, despite having never smoked. His cancer was aggressive & unfortunately resistant to treatment. While it was a very difficult journey, he never lost his sense of humor. In the end, when offered the opportunity to raise funds for equipment or medical expenses for his needs, he preferred to start a foundation to raise money for those suffering from Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer in Non-Smokers. He wanted to pay it forward and try to help others in their difficult, and scary journey with this type of Lung Cancer. While I intend to honor this wish, it will take time. In the short term, and in preparation for his Celebration of Life, I've created this fundraiser to add to the funds already raised from my Facebook birthday fundraiser in his honor. Thank you to all who donated to help raise $2,715 so far. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations to the American Cancer Society, in his honor, would be greatly appreciated and a wonderful way to Celebrate Anthony and his wish to help others suffering from cancer.
