As a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) Cook County has experienced an alarmingly higher rate of relapse and increased substance abuse, which are dramatically greater than last years figures. At the current pace last years opioid overdose numbers are projected to double.
CDEA charitable foundation believes it is the responsibility of society, and our organization, to save young men and women from the growing heroin epidemic, to assist them in getting appropriate treatment and care, and to enable them in recreating their lives. In addition, CDEA provides family members with the necessary resources for therapy and other support groups.
With your financial contribution, CDEA will be able to continue reaching its goal of broadening the service base, creating young people peer 12 step meetings statewide, helping to prevent opioid/heroin overdoses by providing Narcan wherever needed, increasing client and family therapy and continuing to sponsor first month of sober living for individuals seeking help with sober living program fees, when certain qualifications are met.
Through your support of CDEA, we can provide these services needed to assist youth into becoming responsible and successful adults.
