For the past 8 years I fundraised for the Walk to End Alzheimer's, first in my father's name, then in Memory of my father, Joseph Di Rocco. This year I have decided instead to support Alzheimer's Family Support Center of Cape Cod (www.alzheimerscapecod.org). I know my father would have supported my decision and this is for him and others suffering from and dealing with this insideous disease.
The Alzheimer's Family Support Center of Cape Cod helped us provide better care for my father through caregiver training specific to Alzheimer's suffers, support groups where we had the opportunity to meet with other caregivers in the similar situations and connected us with resources that provided specific caregiving needs we were unable to provided ourselves.
The Alzheimer's Family Support Center of Cape Cod and specifically it's co-founder & Executive Director, Dr. Molly Perdue, PhD, assisted my family and many of my friends through the most trying and difficult period of our lives, caring for someone we love suffering from Alzheimer's. The Alzheimers Family Support Center offers Caregiver Support Groups, Training, Resource information, hand holding and too many other benefits to list.
Please join me in supporting the Alzheimer's Family Support Center of Cape Cod (www.alzheimerscapecod.org) so they can continue to be there for us for many years to come. See you on Saturday 11 May at Brooks Park 43 Oak Street Harwich, MA 11am - 4pm. Thank you for your support!
