Poverty is a Massive Issue
Poverty is at the root of many other social problems. In Fort Worth, 18 percent of individuals and families live in poverty.
One in four children in Fort Worth are considered "food insecure" which means they are lacking access to sufficient and affordable, nutritious food.
43 percent of households in Texas do not have any savings. Millions of individuals and families are struggling to make ends meet and we can do better.
Catholic Charities Fort Worth (CCFW) is unlike any other non-profit that I know. Yes, I work there but there is a reason that I joined the agency.
Catholic Charities Fort Worth (CCFW) knows ending poverty is possible and has set a bold goal to end poverty for families we serve. Our holistic and personal approach focuses on what it takes for each individual or family to end poverty. We hold ourselves accountable by measuring the success of our interventions and invite research institutions to validate our work.
The $10M Challenge
Help me and Catholic Charities Fort Worth in ending poverty for the families we serve. The Stand Together Foundation will match dollar for dollar up to $1,000 per donation. They will contribute up to $10M in match funds toward poverty ending solutions.
