Support our cause to break the cycle of poverty through transportation!
HEB Transit is an important community service that looks to local support to help with the program’s enduring success. We serve the community by providing a low-cost transportation service for HEB residents who need assistance with trips to work or work-related activities, such as job interviews, training, education and childcare. Our mission statement is to provide timely, reliable transportation to those who do not have access. We strive to engage volunteers, to build stronger roots within our community and connect employers with employees in Hurst, Euless, and Bedford. With an impact of over 36,000 trips provided to date, many clients have used this service to eventually transition to long-term transportation independence.
HEB Transit has been providing demand-response transportation solutions for HEB residents since 2006. Individuals are able to schedule rides for employment and employment-related trips, such as job training or job interviews, for an affordable fare. This service is provided through the cooperative efforts and financial support of volunteers and community organizations, such as United Way of Tarrant County, faith-based community members, the cities of Hurst, Euless, and Bedford, and Tarrant County. Additionally, HEB Transit is owned and operated by Catholic Charities Fort Worth, who is a leader in the non-profit space and exports research-backed, poverty ending solutions on a national level. HEB Transit continues to be driven by the community, for the community.
And we have even more reason for you to give! Through Catholic Charities Fort Worth’s partnership with Stand Together Foundation, up to $1000 of each individual donation will be 100% matched, dollar for dollar, through the end of 2019. This means, you automatically double your impact on the lives of those we serve. With your help, HEB Transit will continue to offer safe, reliable transportation within the community, and empower individuals to attain greater self-sufficiency and independence.
