"Through granted fitness programs nationwide, Catch A Lift is mentally and physically healing veterans one by one."
My name is Abbe Truschel and I am a Junior medical major and an Air Force ROTC Cadet. I am training to run the Walt Disney World Half-Marathon in January 2018. The Disney half will be my third half-marathon!
I have been given the incredible opportunity to represent Catch A Lift Fund in Walt Disney World, an organization that I have come to love dearly and I am very proud to be representing. As an ROTC cadet and prospective officer in the United States' greatest Air Force, I have come to realize how important organizations like Catch A Lift are to those who have served our great nation.
Since their founding in 2010, the Catch A Lift Fund has helped thousands of post 9/11 combat wounded veterans regain their mental and physical health through gym memberships, in home gym equipment, personalized fitness and nutrition programs and a peer support network. Catch A Lift vets are seeing and feeling results including dramatic weight loss, reduction in medications, improved sleep patterns, and strengthened relationships with family and friends, thanks to their healthier lifestyle. Their veteran testimonials attest that CAL has "saved their lives"; the greatest impact of all.
Any donations that you have to get me to my $500 goal would be appreciated. I ask that you pray for my fundraising/training and for all our veterans.
Changing bodies, healing minds, saving lives.
