Around the world, more than 800 million people don’t have access to clean water, and the water they drink exposes them to diseases that can kill them. In areas without access to clean water, kids often walk miles every day to collect water, taking time away from school, and often preventing girls from attending school at all.
Global H2O is an organization whose mission is to provide clean water and sanitation facilities in rural areas to improve overall health, reduce child mortality rates, and improve school attendance. Shore Regional High School is partnering with Global H2O in our first annual “Shore Regional Walk for Water” to raise money to build a well that provides clean water for an entire school and village in Uganda, Africa.
Every participant in the 2019 Walk for Water has committed to a fundraising goal of at least $200 and will complete a 2-mile walk at Shore Regional High School on May 19, 2019, and I'm asking for your help in sponsoring me.
Donations will support Global H2O’s well-drilling project in Uganda and are tax deductible.
With the help and participation from Shore Regional students and their families, this Walk for Water can help kids in this village take care of their most basic need so they can focus more on their education and building a better life for their families.

Global H2O is a 100% volunteer-based 501(c)3 non profit organization that provides clean water and latrines in rural areas. Global H2O drilled its first well in 2010 and, as of 2018, has completed more than 100 wells and 20 latrines in Central Africa.
