Casper fell into our laps covered in dirt, blind, and possibly deaf. After a much needed warm bath and an emergency trip to the vet, it was determined that the feline herpes virus had infected Casper's eyes, rendering him almost completely blind. Measures were taken in order to treat the infection, but the vet came to the conclusion that complete bilateral enucleation, or double removal, was in Casper's best interest.
It turns out that Casper has great hearing, and his foster mom sings to him every night! Casper is an absolute love. Even though he can't see more than shadows, he will stare right into your heart as he makes bisuits on your lap.
We are asking for the funds necessary to give Casper the best quality of life possible. Thank you for reading!
