CASA of Travis County speaks up for children who’ve been abused or neglected by empowering our community to volunteer as advocates for them in the court system. When the state steps in to protect a child’s safety, a judge appoints a trained volunteer advocate to make independent and informed recommendations in the child’s best interest.
In 2018, 94% of CASA of Travis County's recommendations were ordered by the judge or agreed upon pre-hearing. These volunteers can literally change the course of a child's life.
CASA of Travis County is on track to become the first urban CASA program to serve 100% of children in foster care in our community. They will serve a record 2,000 children by 2019's end.
But CASA doesn't yet have the resources to serve all who need them. Today, there are more than 500 kids waiting for a volunteer. Will you give a child a CASA volunteer by donating today? Your gift will be matched by a local family for DOUBLE the impact.
Thank you in advance for your support!
