Help Us Build a Library!!!
The CASA Academy Library Project is made up of high school students and our mission is to build a lower school library.
Casa Academy is a K - 4th grade school in Phoenix that provides low income students with the early academic foundation. The school began in 2014 with the vision of raising the bar for education and correcting the inequalities faced by students from low income communities. On average, low income students are already two years behind by the time they reach fourth grade. This school is dedicated to closing that gap.
At CASA, 96% of students qualify for free lunch, which means they fall below the poverty line, 67% are English Language Learners, and 97% are students of color. The school will be moving into their new permanent location in the Fall 2021.
CASA Academy Library Project’s goal is to supply all the library books and bookshelves to fill the library when it is ready to open in the Fall. Some of the members of this group have been involved in the after school program tutoring kids going back 5 years. We realize that a beautiful well stocked library can alter the course of the future and open up entire new worlds for these children. We have already met with multiple focused early learning librarians and have established a compilation of books for the library.
CASA Academy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and contributions are tax-deductible.
